Profile
Teaching was always the end goal for Ms. Natalie Nielsen. As a child, Natalie would “force” her siblings to memorize poems and write stories in her make-believe classroom. Then, once "school" was out for the day, Natalie would turn the living room into a stage and teach her sisters dances for their home recitals.
After graduating from the University of Utah, Natalie began her teaching career at Joel P. Jensen Middle School. While she loved her time there, she always wanted to direct a dance company at the high school level. Therefore, when the position opened at West Jordan High, she jumped at the opportunity. Now, fifteen years later, Natalie continues to be passionate about sharing her art with her students and the community.
In her free time, Natalie loves to spend time hiking with family, traveling, going to concerts, and cheering on her niece and nephews every chance she gets. Her philosophy is, “Live life to the fullest, and do it with a smile!”
