WJHS Track - State Champions!

Boys State Championship:

WJHS became 5A state champions by 1 point! 

• Porter Creasy won the 100m, 200m

• Paula Havea was state champ in the shot put 

• Jayden Giles placed 3rd in the Long Jump

• Ian McIntyre placed 8th in Javelin 

• 4x1 was state champs, broke the state record, and school record Tyson Dunn, Jerome Randall, Jase Olson, Porter Creasy 

• 4x200 was runner up and broke the school record: Porter Creasy, Jayden Giles, Jerome Randall, Ethan Edebiri 

• 4x400 was state champs and broke the school record: Tyson Dunn, Jayden Giles, Lexen Rivera, Jerome Randall 

• 4x800 broke the school record; Andoni Garcia, Sam Griffiths, Spencer Johns, Luke Mitchell

• Conner Greco and Colton Reid placed 4th and 6th in Pole Vault.

Girls State Championship: 

• Leilei Lolohea was runner up and broke her own school record by 3 feet!

• Lucy Jones placed 8th 

• Cali Mitchell placed 8th in Pole Vault and Long Jump

• Girls 4x200 broke the school record: Leah Sosa, Alyssia Buck, Caitlyn Hyde, Emma Nordquist 

Boys Region Championship:

Boys were 4-Peat Region Champions 

• 100m: Porter Creasy 

• 200m: Porter Creasy

• Long Jump: Jayden Giles

• Shot Put: Paula Havea

• Javelin: Ian McIntyre

• Pole Vault: Colton Reid

• 4x1: Tyson Dunn, Jerome Randall, Ethan Edebiri, Porter Creasy

• 4x4: Tyson Dunn, Jayden Giles, Lexen Rivera, Jerome Randall 

• 4x8: Andoni Garcia, Sam Griffiths, Spencer Johns, Luke Mitchell
