Career and Technical Education

I teach the animal and plant science classes here at WJHS and I am the FFA advisor. I graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Utah State University in 2020 and have loved working here at West Jordan ever since!

I am passionate about agriculture and think it is very important for people to know where their food comes from. My passion for ag began early on. I grew up in a small town in Northern Utah working with dairy cows. But as much as I love cows, when considering a career path, I realized that I didn't want to milk cows every day, morning and night, for the rest of my life. I considered studying horticulture. But the more I thought about my life, the more the desire to help people and promote ag literacy grew.

Even more important than my passion for agriculture, is my passion for helping the youth of today succeed, both within my classroom and throughout their future. I want to help kids learn to love learning. I want to help them realize and strive for greatness. I believe that if the youth of today are enabled to achieve their potential, the future of American agriculture is bright."
