Graduation Day

No limit on seating!

Graduation will occur on June 4, 2020. The event will be held at 7:00pm at the Maverik Center. The Maverik Center is located at 3200 Decker Lake Dr, West Valley City, UT 84119 

    Graduation Dress and Grooming
In order to maintain dignity and decorum at high school commencements, students participating in commencement exercises are subject to the dress and grooming standards articulated in Policy AA419 Student Conduct and Dress, item C, and must wear the prescribed cap and gown during the entire duration of the commencement program, from the opening processional to completion of the recessional, without additional ornamentation or decoration. Personal items such as clothing, accessories or jewelry, that draw undue attention or detract from the dignity and decorum of the occasion, shall not be allowed.  Mantles, cords, insignias or medals signifying achievement, honor or recognition are restricted to awards issued and approved for display at graduation by the local high school.

  Behavior at Assemblies and Activities
Assemblies and activities shall be considered special student privileges where participation is contingent upon appropriate behavior. Students shall show respect to all performers. Students who disturb, disrupt, or show disrespect shall lose the privilege of attending and may be subjected to disciplinary action as outlined in Policy AS67—Discipline of Students.

Cap and Gown Delivery Day Is Coming ....

To ensure sizing and on-time delivery, students should have their orders placed before April 30th. The closer we get to graduation the less time we have to order  the right size and color for each graduate.

All orders can be placed and payments can be made at http://www.jostens.com

Students will be able to pick up their caps and gowns on (date TBA).  after they have been cleared for graduation.  In order to be cleared for graduation, students must have done the following:

1. Paid all fines and returned all school-owned materials. 

2. Achieved passing status in all classes.

3. Completed the correct number of credits in the right areas.

4. Cleared all NGs.

 

Graduation Practice

The most momentous day of your life so far takes a little practice.  We will meet in the gym for graduation practice on (Date TBA) at 7:30 a.m. (Don’t be late!)  Graduation pros will be there to help you know where you should be and what you should be doing so you look cool in your stylish cap and gown.  Practice will take about 2 ½ hours. If you are going to participate in our Graduation Exercises, you must come to the practice the day before graduation.

 

Graduation Walk

Seniors who bring their caps and gowns to practice can participate in our Graduation Walk immediately after practice.  Board a school bus for the last time as a student and ride to your elementary school.  There you will be cheered as you walk through the halls of your first Alma Mater.  Photo ops are encouraged. 

 

                    Graduation Night Party

Graduation  is scheduled for June 4th at 7:00pm in the Maverick Center. The Graduation party is also on (Date TBA) at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center. The party begins at 10:00pm and concludes at 3:00am.  Admission is $25.00 and it includes all games, swimming, food, and drinks. Come and enjoy a memorable event with your fellow seniors!
